The village of San Lorenzo has been included in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The beauty of the architectural structures and the narrow streets that run through the town is remarkable, therefore a visit to this small village is recommended. The territory in which it is located appears rich in spectacular scenery. Not far from the village is the beautiful lake of Nembia, surrounded by a splendid naturalistic oasis.
In the village of Stenico there is an ancient castle, which today constitutes the cultural center of the area. It hosts exhibitions and concerts, together with a beautiful museum that preserves the historical finds found in the region. Not far from the castle you can admire the wonderful Rio Bianco waterfall, through a bridge which is located at the end of a beautiful path surrounded by greenery.
On the outskirts of the village of Fiavè there is a precious testimony of ancient history. In fact, the remains of a prehistoric settlement have been found, which is estimated to date back to about 6000 years ago. There was a large glacial lake in this area, on which stood the stilts of an ancient village. The remains found can be admired in the Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavè, which contains wonderfully preserved finds, among which you can find beautiful wooden artifacts dating back to prehistoric times
